Images in 3D are color, still photos of your baby, showing what they look like. A 4D ultrasound includes live motion video, where we try to capture baby making cute facial expressions, yawn, hiccup, and even frown!
YES. We schedule by appointment only. Please call our office to schedule or click here to schedule now through our online system. We recommend scheduling well in advance. We do schedule evenings and weekends. However, those appointments fill up quickly. Please arrive with your guests 15 minutes prior to your scheduled time.
We accept cash and all major credit cards. Electronic forms of payment (Venmo, Apple, and Samsung Pay) are coming soon!
Since we are strictly a “keepsake” 3D ultrasound service, our clients pay out of pocket. We are an elective non-diagnostic service. Therefore, health insurance does not cover the cost, unfortunately.
Here’s how to prepare for your appointment:
- Drink plenty of fluids daily; we recommend (10) 8 oz. cups of water per day. Drink 2 cups of water for every hour you are awake leading up to the day of your ultrasound appointment please.
- A full bladder is not required for your ultrasound.
- If you are not diabetic or do not have any sugar issues, drink a glass of orange juice or apple juice 5 minutes prior to your appointment.
- Please arrive with your guests 15 minutes prior to your scheduled time.
YES PLEASE! Anyone you want may come to experience this amazing time with you at Womb’s View (formerly Womb’s Window). This is a bonding experience that your family and friends will never forget. While our rooms are very “roomy” and comfortable, there is a limit, up to 10 people will fit.. )
Absolutely! We recommend having the session done between 22 and 26 weeks for the best chance of capturing images of both (or multiple) babies. Although capturing twins together can sometimes be a challenge, our skilled sonographers always do their best to photograph them side-by-side.
If you are well-hydrated throughout your pregnancy, and can consume something sweet or caffeinated prior to arrival, your chances of obtaining clear photos drastically improves. Please see our “Best Time to Book” or call our office for more information.
At Womb’s Window, we perform elective, non-diagnostic images. Please make sure that you are under prenatal care and consult with your physician if you have questions or concerns about your pregnancy.
At times, maternal tissue can be an obstacle in obtaining clear photos. However, drinking plenty of fluids daily and consuming something sweet or caffeinated (just before your appointment time) will improve your chances of receiving clear photos.
Many factors are involved in obtaining clear images. We use state-of-the-art equipment, and our sonographers are professionally trained in obtaining 2D, 3D, and 4D ultrasound images. Some of the following factors that may challenge our session include but are not limited to: amount of amniotic fluid, maternal tissue, and fetal position/activity. Placenta, limbs, and umbilical cord may also obstruct the baby’s face during a 3D/4D ultrasound. Despite these challenges, we are often able to produce great photos, as evidenced by our countless online reviews and positive feedback!
HDlive is relatively new in the world of ultrasound imaging. This technology uses advanced skin rendering techniques and a virtual light source, producing realistic images. This means you get to see your baby with amazing clarity.
Ultrasound has been utilized for over 44 years, with no evidence of harmful effects to the baby or mother, as there is no radiation involved. A probe placed on the mother’s abdomen emits sound waves into the body, listens for the return echo, and generates an image. Womb’s Window follows FDA guidelines for time and soundwave intensity.
Womb’s Window offers various packages. See our “Best Time to Book” page.
